Mealrt ("Mealrt", "we", "us") builds an AI wellness coach. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Mealrt you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

Account: name, email, and authentication identifiers (including Google/Apple sign-in if you use them).
Health & activity you provide: goals, dietary preferences, meals and wellness you log (sleep, mood, water, workouts), and messages you send the coach.
Usage & device: app interactions, approximate timezone, and basic device/diagnostic data to keep the service reliable.
Payment: handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We never receive or store your full card number.

2. How we use your information

Provide and personalize your plans, coaching, and reminders.
Operate, secure, debug, and improve the service.
Send transactional messages (e.g. verification, password reset, plan-expiry notices).

3. AI processing

To generate coaching and plans, relevant content you provide may be sent to third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI) strictly to produce your response. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it to train third-party models beyond what is required to return your result.

4. Sharing

We don't sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf (hosting, AI, email, payments) under contract, or when required by law.

5. Retention & your rights

We keep your data while your account is active. You can access, correct, export, or delete your data from the app or by emailing us — deleting your account removes your personal data, subject to limited legal/financial retention.

6. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted, and secrets are stored in a managed secret manager. No method is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

7. Children

Mealrt is not directed to children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
